Missing Mum

This is one of my current favourites. Most of the time, S.P only gets to play on/with the bike when Peanut is at school or taking his afternoon nap. S.P is really good with it, he holds and swings the handles like a pro. Best of all, after accomplishing that, he'd look at me in the eyes with a beaming "I've done it" smile. He definitely doesn't take after me when it comes to motor skills.
Much that I enjoy my uninterrupted sleep - have been in the US on a biz trip since Sunday - I NEED to be home with my babies. Are they missing me as much as I miss them? I doubt. It's pretty much out of sight, out of mind at this age. But over the phone, Peanut did say he missed me. Will they run (crawl for S.P) to hug and kiss me? I hope so.

Little Red Hen

My first concert attendance with Peanut. It was a public performance staged at Alliance Francaise and his playschool block-booked some tickets. It was very encouraging to see every kiddo from his class with at least a parent (a grandparent for one kid) accompanying and this is notwithstanding that it was a Thursday.

Here's our valiant attempt at a group photo whilst waiting to enter the theatre hall. The other groups from other schools were, I assure you, a lot more organised but they were also older (> 3 y.o):

Meet-the-cast after the show:

But the real highlight/adventure for Peanut turned out to be the bus trip. During the 1-hour show, it was just muffled cries of "go home" and mummy trying hard to make the show more interesting than it really was. Yawn.

And the answer to the trivial question: Comb their hair ...

Trivia

This was a trivial quiz question on Class 95 during a weekday morning: "58% of men don't do this .."

And my guesses go like this:

1. Flush after using the toilet

2. Place their soiled clothings in the laundry basket

3. Make their beds in the mornings

4. Bring their dishes to the sink after a meal (And I'm not talking about washing the dishes - that will be my guess if it were 70% and more)

5. Give up a seat to an old lady/ a pregnant woman / a young toddler

6. Remember their wedding anniversary / parents' birthdays / kids' birthdays

Feel free to add on to this "peeve-list", but as it turned out I was guilty of it - the answer was ....

The Return of the Mug Shots

So, the professional photographer a.k.a. husband had to be called to do the job. And to comb the hair too ...
Guess which one we chose for the passport application - the "curry puff" hairdo or the get-out-of-bed look?

He looks so precocious in both ... more like a 4 y.o. and that is his official grin each time we ask him to smile for the camera - can't help but notice how the Peanut is so like his dad in his gestures and temperament. Well, that's another story for another day ...

Singapore Airshow

The maiden Singapore Airshow - declared a success and indeed a success. The stunts were awesome... only wish Peanut was there to see. Apologies for the poor quality video - it's taken with the mobile phone ... didn't have presence of mind to bring the videocam since I went on a trade day ... next time I'll remember... better still, next time I'll brave the crowd on a public day and bring Peanut with me.
